Canan Yasar Appointed to the Board of Komm

On Tuesday, May 28, the annual general meeting of Komm (The Swedish Association of Communication Agencies) was held. Obeya’s Canan Yasar was elected as a new board member, alongside Charlotta Stenson, CEO of Bulldozer in Karlstad.

Canan Yasar has worked in the communications industry for over 16 years, with nearly 9 years running her own agency, Obeya. She is particularly interested in how the industry can contribute to positive societal development, with a focus on social sustainability and responsible communication. Her experience in both PR and advertising gives her a deep understanding of the industry's transformation and what is required of modern agencies - as well as how companies can broaden their audience without reinforcing prejudices.

Canan also serves on the board of the Swedish Advertising Ombudsman (RO) and various advisory boards. Furthermore, she co-founded the network All of Us, which aims to highlight and support diversity within the communications industry.
