Obeya opens in Copenhagen

PR agency Obeya is investing in the Öresund region by opening an office in Copenhagen. The new office offers PR services and creative communication solutions to clients in both Skåne and Denmark.

Following a strong 2020, with tripled profits and the title "PR Agency of the Year," Obeya is now expanding into the Öresund region. The agency is already involved in developing digital training programs for the CoSkill project, initiated by Region Skåne and Region Blekinge.

– Öresund is a dynamic and expansive region with a strong focus on innovation. We believe our unique offering will be of great interest to many companies here. We look forward to continuing our work with both old and new acquaintances in the region, says Maria Hazard, CEO of Obeya.

Obeya is rooted in PR but maintains a strong focus on inclusive communication and how clients can contribute to positive social development. Over the past year, its offering has expanded to include advertising campaigns, facilitation, and organizational change.

The Öresund initiative is led by Joakim Johansson, who becomes CEO of the Danish company. Joakim has spent the last three years as a PR strategist at Obeya and was previously the Head of Press and PR at Riksteatern.

– We see a gap in the agency landscape of the Öresund region that Obeya can fill. We help companies with creative PR solutions that not only generate attention and strengthen business but also broaden target audiences and contribute to a better society, says Joakim Johansson, PR strategist and CEO of the new Obeya Copenhagen.

Obeya was founded in 2015 by Maria Hazard and Canan Yasar and currently has ten employees. Clients include Visit Finland, Halebop, Riksteatern, and Cancerfonden. In March 2021, Obeya was named "PR Agency of the Year" by the analysis firm Regi.
