Obeya teams up with the Swedish School Sports Federation

As part of the Swedish School Sports Federation’s (Skolidrottsförbundet) rebranding journey and an initiative to help even more children and young people discover the joy of movement and community sports, the federation has chosen to team up with Obeya as their new teammate.

The Swedish School Sports Federation works to provide all children and adolescents access to simple and fun physical activity. This is achieved, among other things, through local clubs where young people lead their peers in engaging activities outside of school hours. Today, there are over 600 school sports clubs with more than 80,000 members across Sweden. Now, however, the federation wants to reach even more people and increase awareness of their operations.

- The joy of movement, physical activity, and community sports among young people are more important than ever. We know that school sports clubs make a difference and that we have been doing a great job for a long time. But to reach even more young people on their own terms, we need a new communication strategist, an outside perspective, and fresh ideas. That is why we are thrilled to have launched our collaboration with Obeya, who share our values," says Jamie Roshage Spörndli, Chairperson of the Swedish School Sports Federation.

The assignment, which runs through the end of the year, includes extensive target audience research, several communication initiatives, and a comprehensive communication plan to help more children find both the joy of movement and community spirit within school sports. Additionally, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the federation’s "crown jewel," the School Jog (Skoljoggen).
