Gustaf Westman releases furniture collection with Halebop
Popular furniture designer Gustaf Westman is currently launching a new furniture collection, Colored Paper Objects, developed in collaboration with Halebop. In the new collection, he explores modern craftsmanship through new materials - while simultaneously releasing instructions for those who wish to create their own furniture.
Colored Paper Objects consist of a bench, two mirrors, and a lamp. The collection is made from recycled paper using a papier-mâché technique and is artisanally produced by hand on a small scale.
Gustaf Westman is the architecture student who left Chalmers University of Technology to fully pursue furniture design. Since then, he has rapidly gained both national and international recognition for his colorful designs and playful shapes - in February, he was awarded "Eye-catcher of the Year" at the ELLE Deco Design Awards 2021.
Colored Paper Objects is the final project in the 2020 edition of Halebop Creative Call, a platform that gives young creators the opportunity to develop their creative work.
