Bio Rio chooses Obeya
Obeya is launching a collaboration with the cinema Bio Rio as part of the project "Quality Film in a New Suit" (Kvalitetsfilm i ny kostym), led by Folkets Hus och Parker. The assignment covers strategic and operational PR, focusing on developing and testing new methods for marketing quality films.
– In short, we want to both strengthen the position of quality film and increase cinema attendance. Through our partnership with Obeya, we will test new ways to market our films and cinemas by adopting a clearer business focus, says Ellen Tejle, Director of Bio Rio.
Folkets Hus och Parker owns 140 cinemas across the country through its member associations. Four cinemas are participating in the "Quality Film in a New Suit" project: Bio Rio in Stockholm, Bio Roy in Gothenburg, Röda Kvarn in Helsingborg, and Biograf Spegeln in Malmö, with Bio Rio leading the initiative.
– We are proud and pleased to have earned this trust and look forward to rethinking communication strategies to help more people discover both quality films and independent cinemas, says Maria Hazard, CEO of Obeya.
The collaboration runs until the end of the year and aims to result in new, long-term working methods for the film industry.
